A beautiful way to see Ksamil without all the crowds. We opted for the morning paddle and the water was calm and lovely. We paddled out to the islands, had a rest, swam a bit, and then enjoyed coffee with our guide, Ari. Ari is knowledgeable about the islands and their history. We appreciated chatting with him. The boards are high quality- much better than others we rented throughout the southern balkans, and he makes sure you are comfortable on them. We paddle quite a bit at home, but this would be very doable for beginners or someone who has never gone before. It was our favorite thing to do in Ksamil. Highly recommend!

If you want a supremely knowledgeable, kind, fun, safe guide to share his deep love for his country with you, Ari is your tour guide. We were 2 couples, MDs and Ph.D.s all, and there wasn’t a question we asked that Ari couldn’t answer or a subject on which we engaged, from Dia Lipa, to Enver Hoxha-era bunker technology, to world religions, to Albanian pandemic-era vaccine perspectives and public health (and many more) which Ari didn’t lead the charge. He showed us breathtaking scenery and shared fascinating history and local customs during our time together. He was the perfect ambassador for Albania. Stop reading this and book this magical experience with Ari! This is my first time in Albania, and because of Ari, this won’t be my last! His tour was so much more than I envisioned! His passion for his country and knowledge, will make you have a crush on Albania! Even tho our lunch he planned was cancelled last minute, he quickly made other arrangements that were so special, I’m happy it was changed! He spent more than the allotted time and showed us so much a variety of landscape and unique places of southern Albania! I’ve taken tours all around the world and this was one of the best, he truly is meant to do this, such a gift! We talked, we laughed, we jammed out to music on the car rides…did you already book? An outstanding private tour of Southern Albania
Ari is the only guide you need for Southern Albania - he is the most thoughtful, interesting, helpful and practical guide possible. Nothing was too much trouble as he effortlessly guided me through the complicated but fascinating history of his country, answering questions patiently and in a most captivating manner. He also expertly guided his trusty Nissan through the challenging streets of Gjirokaster!
I would not hesitate to recommend this tour, particularly as Ari has such a passion for his job. I wish I could give more than 5 stars!

The BEST day out!
I was originally planning to get the early morning public bus to Sarande and join a group tour from there, but when I came across Ari’s page and saw the reviews I decided to book him instead and see all the sights on the way to Sarande. And honestly, what a good job I did! Just spent the day with Ari exploring. He was an absolutely wonderful host - the day was filled with so much fun and so many beautiful places, and he was such easy company for a long car journey. He would say to me, ‘if you would like a nap, now is a good time’ etc etc and always made sure I had water and wasn’t hungry. When we did chat he taught me so much about Albanian life and culture - and he also helped me find a hotel when mine let me down at the last minute. You will not find a better host in Albania! Wish we could do today all over again Ari!

It was really 3 fantastic days we spent under Ari's company.
We visited some cities with very beautiful and interesting tourist attractions.
We stayed one night in the beautiful city of Saranda where we had the opportunity to do a small boat tour in the evening.
Ari is a good and very knowledgeable guy. He designed this tour perfectly and he could make us enjoy our holidays in Albania.

10/10 recommend. We had limited time in the Saranda region and wanted to focus our tour in just the blue eye and Gjirokastra - Ari was able to customize a trip that fit our needs. Both locations were incredible - a must see. He is extremely personable and very easy to talk with. We enjoyed learning about the places we were visiting and Albania as a whole with him as he is very knowledgeable. Couldn’t recommend booking with him enough!
